Long Term Plans of Zoological Survey of Pakistan

◢ Faunal data collection of national parks in collaboration of provincial wildlife departments for scientific management of Protected Areas

◢ Conservation oriented studies of Endangered and Threatened species.

◢ Recommendation to the Government for National Trade Policy pertaining to wildlife species and their products.

◢ Surveys of economically important faunal species such as Parrots, Falcons, Pangolin, Freshwater turtles etc. which are used in international wildlife trade to assist CITES regulatory authority.

◢ Studies of internationally important wetlands known as Ramsar sites to help in their management and report to Ramsar convention.

◢ Publication of Journals, reports and research papers and other awareness material on fauna of Pakistan.

◢ Establish a reference collection center for standard zoological collections at ZSP office.

◢ Establishment of National Botanical Garden in Phases through PSDP project or donor funding assistance.
